Job Details: Location: Ellsworth, KS 67439; Position Type: PRN; Education Level: Graduate Degree; Weekend On-Call APP (Baylor Model) – Housing Provided.

Compensation: Starting at $75.00/hr, commensurate on experience and credentials.

Overview

Ellsworth County Medical Center is seeking a motivated and independent Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to provide weekend on-call coverage in our rural healthcare setting. Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Kansas licensure (or ability to obtain)
• DEA certification preferred
• Emergency, family practice, hospitalist, or rural health experience preferred
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively

Position Qualifications

• Education: Completion of an accredited nursing program with a master’s degree and successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program; or completion of a four‑year accredited physician assistant program and a year of clinical training; or completion of a two‑year accredited physician assistant program plus two years of clinical training after PA program.
• Experience: Previous experience related to the management of inpatients and ED care required.
• Preferred Skills: Excellent organization, prioritization, and multi‑tasking skills; ability to manage multiple concurrent projects; excellent interpersonal and technical skills; strong attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain diverse technical problems in easy‑to‑understand language; strong independent judgment and decision‑making skills.
• Certifications/Registrations: Current state license to practice as a Physician Assistant or APRN; ACLS and PALS current or within 90 days of hire; ATLS current or within 6 months of hire; BLS.
