Orderly - Full Time - EveningsSimpson General Hospital is seeking a dependable and compassionate Orderly to join our Acute Care team.This position plays an important role in supporting patient care by assisting with patient transportation, safe patient handling, admissions and discharges, equipment management, and unit support activities. The Orderly works closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to help ensure patients receive safe, efficient, and quality care.This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in healthcare who enjoys staying active, helping others, and working as part of a team.What You'll DoTransport patients throughout the hospital for testing, procedures, admissions, transfers, and dischargeAssist nursing staff with patient lifting, transfers, ambulation, and positioningObtain and record vital signs as assignedRespond to call lights and assist with routine patient needsDeliver and retrieve supplies, equipment, and patient care itemsPrepare patient rooms for admissions and transfersStock supplies and maintain organized patient care areasAssist with admission and discharge activitiesHelp maintain a safe, clean, and efficient care environmentSupport the nursing team with a variety of daily operational tasksQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED strongly preferredCurrent BLS certification required or ability to obtain within approved timeframePrevious healthcare experience preferredStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to safely lift, push, pull, and transport patients and equipmentAbility to work in a fast-paced healthcare environmentWhy Join SGH?At Simpson General Hospital, you'll work alongside a dedicated team committed to providing quality healthcare services to our community.
