MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center (MFSMC), a member of MedStar Health, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join its neuroscience team. This hybrid role spans both neurosurgery and neuroendovascular services, offering broader procedural exposure combining OR first-assisting, IR suite procedures, bedside interventions, inpatient care, and outpatient clinic within a single role. Both new graduates and experienced APPs are encouraged to apply. Structured mentorship and onboarding are provided to support a successful transition into the position, regardless of prior experience level. Responsibilities: First assist in the OR for spine and cranial procedures Assist in the Neurovascular IR suite - thrombectomies, diagnostic and interventional spinal and cerebral angiograms Perform bedside procedures, including EVD and SEPS placement Round on inpatient post-op patients Provide ED and inpatient consults See patients in outpatient clinic Schedule: Days, Monday - Friday with rotating weekend days, 40 Hours Qualifications: Current certification/licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant) certification required for Nurse Practitioners Prior neuroscience or first-assist experience is a plus but not required What This Role Offers: Exposure to a broad range of procedures and care settings within one position Ongoing mentorship and professional development A collaborative team environment where clinical input is valued A day-shift schedule with a balanced weekend rotation and ample vacation time As a MedStar Medical Group clinician, you can expect: Competitive salary 30 days of Paid Time Off in addition to 2 Personal days Paid malpractice insurance Medical, dental, and vision insurance options CME leave and CME allowance Retirement savings plan - 403(b) with % employer match Become part of an organization that welcomes your experience, input and leadership- as a clinician and healthcare expert.
